Role:
The Writer will be an individual contributor that is responsible for writing actionable and dynamic content for the Web. The Writer manages the content review process and ensures compliance approval for assigned projects. Maintains detailed records of changes that are documented and stored for retrieval purposes. The Writer may collaborate with the Senior Manager and the Digital Platforms team to help shape the firm's content strategy.
Responsibilities:
# Write and Edit for clarity, accuracy, consistency, grammar, style and tone, while simultaneously meeting Web usability standards, corporate guidelines, and brand image
# Manage and coordinate content review process to ensure copy meets a broad range of business, legal and regulatory guidelines
# Developing online content based on business objectives and user needs for TD Ameritrade products (managed products, ETFs, Stocks, MFs, Options, Futures/Forex,) tools and web applications
# Collaborate with the Digital Platforms team to develop content that supports and enhances design goal for the Web (tone, content inventory, style guide, indexes)
# Seek out and build knowledge of the financial services industry
Requirements Requirements:
# BA/BS required in Communications, English, Marketing or related fields
# 5 years experience in creating/writing content for Web and other digital media
# Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of design tools such as Graffle, Visio and InDesign
# High emphasis on strong organizational & communication skills
# Must have superior, demonstrable written communication skills [written samples of work required.]
# Understanding of the financial services industry and financial products required
# Ability to gain an understanding of all roles and responsibilities for multiple business units
# Ability to interface/communicate with all levels of the TD AMERITRADE organization as well as outside vendors
# Detail and deadline oriented
# Excellent team work and people skills
# Energy for fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
